Robotics Instructors & Volunteers
Bot Camp is currently accepting applications for Robotics Instructors and Volunteers for our robotics programs. Robotics Instructors must be 18 years of age, and volunteers must be 16 years of age at the start of the program.

Successful candidates will possess:
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Demonstrable proficiency with the VEX IQ, VEX EDR, FLL, FTC and/or FRC robotics platform, including competition experience and achievements/awards
- Knowledge and proficiency with popular competitive robotics mechanisms (e.g., 4-bar/6-bar linkages, single-jointed arms, elevators, drivetrains, intakes)
- Cheerful disposition and the ability to multi-task
- Willingness to perform setup and teardown tasks, including lab clean-up and sorting of robot parts
- Ability to effectively mentor and interact with students in a professional, friendly and approachable manner
- Impeccable punctuality
- A willingness to organize and participate in physical activities or other games
- A genuine and outwardly visible passion for robotics
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing instruction/mentorship to students in:
- robot design, assembly, electronics, programming, systematic troubleshooting, design review, design iteration, strategic goal setting
- project management, research, effective teamwork, organization, time management
- Supervision of students, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for them at all times
- Lab setup, including arrangement of equipment and robots before start of day
- Lab clean-up and teardown, including sorting and organizing robot parts, and general clean-up of work area
- Organization and participation in daily physical activities or other games
- Meet and greet students at front entrance and escorting them to the work area
- Supervision of students until picked-up by parent or guardian
- Orchestrate full student participation in “Stand-Up Meetings“
- Participation in training
Positions are conditional on passing a vulnerable sector police background check, which will be paid for or reimbursed by Bot Camp upon the offer of a position.
